The association Cammini Geostorici di Sicilia was born in January 2024 from the idea of five professionals with various backgrounds who have been involved in the tourism sector and in the promotion of the Sicilian territory in a sustainable and experiential way for a long time. Having come together for the long friendship that binds them, the members of the team propose slow tourism experiences having as a point of reference the maieutic art of "walking" as a pedagogical action of our "being in the world". History, geography, cultural heritage and landscape are areas of knowledge that need to be implemented in a transversal way but taking into account new digital technologies such as GIS and social media and, at the same time, tourism sciences seen from a sustainable and participatory perspective. The strategic actions of Cammini Geostorici di Sicilia are not limited to the rediscovery of the many little-known or unusual Sicilian cultural and natural paths, but also to training actions in environmental education and inclusion in schools, local authorities, natural and archaeological parks and to participation in public project calls aimed at implementing virtuous practices of widespread territorial valorization.
